I applied Athlete’s Cards into my work with children, teenagers, and adults. They provide an interesting and fun way to work on relationship, to discuss new topics and deepen the knowledge on more common ones. Athlete’s Cards were also useful in my work with sport coaches. They can serve as a new, interesting tool, a bonus in current work. They also provide a chance to self-reflect on various areas of functioning and to build own self-consciousness. Considering these pros I am willing to implement Athlete’s Cards into my professional practice on every stage of sport development.
There are situations which require something more than just physical preparation. Therefore it is worth working on your mental skills as well! I believe that your „head” plays a significant role in sport, but not only. That’s why Athlete’s Cards are very helpful, I checked that personally! I strongly recommend that tool for all athletes, coaches and parents. Improve your self-consciousness and communication patterns.

The Journal is a very interesting option to collect or your information in one place. I recommend it to everyone – experienced and at the very beginning of your sporting career. All in one place, at your fingertips!
Athlete’s Cards provide an opportunity to reflect on some uncommon areas. As a tool in the hands of a coach/sport psychologist they are very effective, as it is enough to encourage athletes to „play” with the cards, and they will do the rest!
I use the Journal and it „saved my head” during Polish Championships. This is a great tool. I study psychology, so I am aware of some of the details, however sometimes you just need that additional support. That’s when I pull out my Journal, self-reflect, and I am a different person 🙂
I really like that it’s a universal tool, our imagination is the limit. I can use Athlete’s Cards both with individual athletes and teams. Questions are the basis of my work and here I have a list of open-ended questions that I can easily apply.
